Shelley Hughes

I am thrilled that I am starting my 22nd year in education. This is my 2nd year here at Ascent. Family is very important to me. I have 6 wonderful children and 2 granddaughters. And my life would not be the same without my fur-baby, Sofee. I grew up in central Illinois and have lived in Utah for 34 years, but still follow my Chicago sport teams. Go Cubs & Go Bears! Orange and blue are my favorite colors. I am working on my Doctorate degree and when I am not at school, I love road trips, shopping and photography. What I love the most about teaching is the relationships created between the families and I. When we work together to support your child’s learning, it is a beneficial partnership for all involved.
