Hello! My name is Sarah Shields. I grew up in sunny San Diego and later moved to Utah to attend Utah Valley University. Since moving here, I’ve fallen in love with this beautiful state and all the adventures and opportunities it has to offer!

From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children, and I found my true calling in elementary education. This will be my fourth year teaching at Ascent Lehi, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community. I’m passionate about creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to discover their strengths through kindness and shared learning.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy camping, traveling, creating art, photography, and getting lost in a good book. These passions fuel my creativity and bring joy and balance to my life.

I’m so excited for this school year and all the learning, laughter, and growth ahead. Go Huskies!
