I am delighted to be starting my first year at Ascent Academies of Utah.  As a second-generation special education teacher, working with neurodiverse students feels like part of my DNA.  I love helping students discover their unique talents and abilities.  I believe that the secret to education is building relationships of trust with students and parents.

I have a master's degree in special education, and I have been lucky enough to teach in three amazing schools for the last 11 years.  My favorite thing about teaching is being constantly surprised by my students.  Life as a special educator is never boring!

When I'm not reorganizing my classroom for the hundredth time, I love hanging out with my family, having dance parties with my daughters, trying new recipes, and looking for the happy moments in everyday life.
