Biography
Marita Anderson
Guidance Counselor
I love working as the School Counselor at Ascent.
I received my Bachelors Degree from Southern Utah University with a double major in Interpersonal Communication and Broadcasting with a minor in Psychology. I received my teacher certification in Speech and Debate and Psychology. While working as an elementary school librarian, I received my masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
As part of my job, I teach students about social/emotional stability using language that is relevant to them. Additionally, I help students understand high school graduation requirements and after high school training and education.
I met my husband at SUU while serving in student government. We are the parents of 3 amazing girls. I love old movie musicals, traveling and spending time with family.
