Hola!

A little bit about me, I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I've lived in many states in the 32 years I have been in this great country. I moved to Utah 13 years ago with my husband and kids. I believe education is the key to success. As a first-generation student, I learned to navigate the educational system with the help of many individuals who had my best interest. I now possess an associate's degree in Accounting, and bachelors' degree in Human Resource Management from Utah Valley University, and Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from Lamar University of Texas. I believe that hard work and dedication can give an individual a destination. 

It is my passion to help students by empowering them to take advantage of the educational opportunities available to them. I am certain that when we encourage individuals to earn education, we are improving our society and enabling individuals to have a better future. 

I love interacting with people from different backgrounds. We are unique in our own realm and we can benefit from each other's cultural richness. I am passionate about people's history, stories, foods, norms, values, and ethics. I think that understanding others' philosophies and norms brings peace, acceptance, and allows us to avoid systemic discrimination thus creating equitable spaces.

Overall, I love bringing educational opportunities to those who will be the future leaders of our society!
