Biography
Kristen Fetzer
First Grade
Hi! My name is Kristen Fetzer. I am excited to be teaching first grade at Ascent Academy! Here is some about me:
I am from Kaysville, Utah, and have three brothers and no sisters. I went to college at Utah State University where I majored in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an ELL Endorsement. After graduation, I moved to Arizona and taught kindergarten for 6 years. After teaching in Arizona I decided to teach internationally. I moved to Moscow, Russia to teach English for a year. I had a wonderful adventure in Moscow, but missed being close to family so moved back to Utah. I got a job at Syracuse Arts Academy where I taught kindergarten for eleven years. After being in kindergarten for 17 years I finally "graduated" to first grade! :)
Some of my hobbies include: boating, swimming, and basically anything that involves water. I also like to watch movies/musicals, play games, bike, listen to music, and read. I enjoy traveling. I have visited or lived in over 10 countries and hope to visit many more. I got married last March and love spending time with my husband and 4 kids. I also have a puppy named Rex.
