I’m thrilled to be joining the Ascent team as a 3rd grade teacher! I grew up in sunny Huntington Beach, California, and later moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to teach both 1st and 3rd grade in Utah and Washington, and I’m so excited to continue teaching 3rd grade and be back in Utah with my husband.

As an educator, my goal is to build strong, trusting relationships with my students and create a classroom environment where learning is joyful, purposeful, and meaningful. I believe education goes far beyond academics—it's about helping students grow into kind, empathetic, and responsible individuals. I strive to cultivate a space where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, catching the latest movie at the theater, or spending time at the beach whenever I get the chance!
