KathiJo Smith

Special Education

I have had the opportunity to be in the field of education for over 35 years. In that time, taught 3rd to 12th grade PE, Health and Special Education, along with many years working as an administrator. Seeing students excel is what brings me the most joy. I am pleased to be part of the team at Ascent Academy. When not at school, my husband and I enjoy working in our yard, hanging out with friends, vacationing and spending time with our children and two grandchildren. You can find us at a BYU football or basketball game, watching the LA Dodgers, or at some high school sporting event. We also try to give back and be part of our community.
