Hello! I'm Debbie Dunford. I'm a wife and mom of 4 boys, a dog mom of 2, and a native of Utah. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brigham Young University and my Master's of Education with an emphasis in Teaching and Learning from the University of Utah. (I consider myself a BY-Utah fan!) I taught for 5 years in public school then homeschooled my kids for 14 years before coming back to the classroom Fall of 2025.

When a child steps into my classroom, I see it as the parent "handing me the baton" for a time. That parent is entrusting their child and their learning to my care. I believe it is my duty and responsibility to take that seriously, to make learning fun and engaging, to see to the varying needs of all, and to help each child know they are important, valued and capable. I personally work to be a life-long learner so I can be my very best for my students. I strive to create a classroom culture where all feel supported, encouraged, cared about and successful.When I'm not in the classroom, I love hanging out with my family, date night with my husband, reading, and traveling the world. I believe my mom's homemade Apricot Nectar is the nectar of the Gods. I also believe that one day I'll be able to successfully keep a plant alive!
