My approach to teaching centers on a growth mindset, where new experiences are welcomed, and mistakes are seen as learning opportunities. I strive to cultivate this same mindset in my students. I truly believe learning is a lifelong journey accessible to everyone. My classroom is a space where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore concepts, and engage in thoughtful discussions as part of their learning. I'm passionate about empowering each student to believe in their ability to learn and persevere through challenges.

I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. Family is incredibly important to me, and I love spending time with my granddaughter. I enjoy trying new things, and I even spent a few years on a local roller derby team until a knee injury sidelined me.

I'm a big reader and love relaxing with a good book and tea. I also enjoy camping and fishing with my husband whenever we can.

I'm thrilled and honored to be part of the Ascent Team and can't wait to welcome my first-grade class. I'm looking forward to learning and growing together. Go Huskies!
