Biography
Ava Wuthrich
Sixth Grade
My name is Ava Wuthrich, and I teach 6th grade Science and Social Studies! I am from Southern California and moved to Utah in 2020 to attend BYU. I graduated with my degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In my free time I love to read, and talk to others about what they’re reading! As a Science teacher, I have no shame in admitting one of my favorite things to teach students about is our Solar System, and am excited to share that this will be my third year teaching.
My biggest goal in the classroom is to create a space that feels safe for every student so that they can make mistakes and feel good about it. Because as James Joyce says, “Mistakes are the portals of discovery". I can’t wait to meet my new students and to share my love of learning with them!
