I teach 5th grade math, social studies, language arts and science. I especially love teaching art and teaching students how to be brave enough to try new things. My goals for my 5th graders are to build self esteem, foster empathy and create a strong classroom culture promoting a sense of family where every student feels safe to be themselves, build each other up and for every student to reach their full potential socially, emotionally and academically.

I am a wife to my wonderful and supportive husband of over 15 years, a mother to two awesome teenagers who have attended Ascent Academy West Jordan since they were in kindergarten, and a dog mom to my two playful pups Oliver and Magie. In my free time I love cooking, gardening, playing with my chickens and growing and tending to my many house plants. I enjoy arts and crafts, being outdoors, and camping and fishing with my family.
