Hello! My name is Allyson White, and I am honored to serve as the Special Education Director at Ascent Academies of Utah. With over 25 years of experience in education, I have worked as both a teacher and an administrator, always driven by a passion for helping students succeed in school and in life. My early career also included working as a paralegal at the Disability Law Center, where I gained valuable experience advocating for individuals with disabilities. Over the years, I’ve taught K–12 students and served in leadership roles supporting teachers, families, and students with diverse needs.

I hold degrees in Special Education and Spanish, with a minor in Portuguese, as well as a master’s in Special Education and Rehabilitation with a focus on Transition Services. Additionally, I earned a Bilingual/ELL Endorsement, which has enhanced my ability to support students from diverse language backgrounds. One of my proudest accomplishments was creating a transition fair that has grown into an annual tradition for a local school district, helping students prepare for their futures. I believe every student deserves a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures both academic and personal growth. Outside of school, I enjoy time with my family, reading, traveling, and exploring Utah’s mountains.
